Kat Dikeakos, MSc. OT
Owner, Consultant Occupational Therapist
Kat (pronouns she/her/hers) is based in Vancouver and treats clients via telehealth across Canada. Her practice is focused on treating high-functioning clients recovering from accidents, illness and burnout. Many of her clients work in healthcare, management, entertainment or other high-pressure fields.
A holistic health nerd from the very beginning, Kat has a special interest in recovery from complex health conditions and uses an integrative medicine approach to foster healing from the inside out. Her practice includes advanced training in chronic pain management, chronic fatigue, concussion, rheumatology, hypnosis and perinatal health. Kat also has a special interest in women’s health and the unique challenges that come alongside pregnancy, parenting, pelvic pain and menopause. She loves to work with clients that want help with pacing and stress management, and incorporates relaxation into all therapy sessions.
Kat founded and chairs the national CAOT Chronic Pain & OT Practice Network and consults for various passion projects involving access to occupational therapy for non-profit organizations like Pain BC, The Arthritis Society, St. Paul’s Hospital and CHANGEpain Clinic. She has held the Mental Health, Chronic Pain & Substance Use position on the CAOT-BC Advisory Committee since 2020, and has worked as a Clinical Advisor and Mentor for PainBC’s BC Adaptive Mentorship Program since 2022. In 2024, Kat created the half day workshop “Health care burnout 101: Occupational therapy for the clinician and the client” which is presented with CAOT.
Kat also enjoys offering mentorship for students and other healthcare practitioners who want to learn more about integrating pain self-management or women’s health into their practice. When Kat isn’t busy coaching her clients on pacing, you can find her working on her arabesques in ballet or watching the Philadelphia Eagles play on Sundays!
